We Tested Isle Paddleboards "Switch Pro". Here’s 4 Reasons It Should Be Your Next Paddleboard

If you’re like me, you want to stay on or in the water 365 days a year. Regardless of where you live, whether that’s Hawaii, California, on the East Coast, or somewhere in between, there’s bound to be flat spells. And that’s exactly why I started to get into paddleboarding.

Not only is it good exercise; for those like me who want to forever hold the title of “waterman”, it allows you to stay on the water and do things like fish (no $50k boat necessary).

For those of you with kids, it’s the perfect way to get them away from screens and in nature and exploring.

You’re probably similar to me: you don’t need to be sold on the idea of a paddleboard; it’s just choosing the right one.

With so many paddleboard options today, ranging in functionality, hard or inflatable shell, and cost, this can be a tall task. Truth be told, I’ve tried most of them and finally found one that checks all my boxes: Isle 11’6” Switch Pro.

If you’re looking for ways to stay on the water, the Isle Switch Pro should be your next paddleboard. Here’s a few reasons why.

The Switch Pro provides a great (and simple) paddle experience.

My first experience with the Switch Pro was paddling out to a nearby island on a flat summer day. I mentally prepared myself to struggle inflating it, lug around a heavy board, do everything I could do from dinging it on a random object, and keep it stable to prevent my possessions from falling into the water.

But there was none of that.

From the easy inflating experience to carrying its lightweight frame to getting it on the water, its unmatched stability, its speed, and and more, it wildly succeeded.

And on the way back, tired after a long day in the sun, I easily transformed the SUP into a kayak, and had an easy paddle back.

Another day, I decided to test the paddleboard on its capabilities: I installed the Bixpy outboard motor and took a fishing pole along with me. Not was this outboard motor easy to install; I covered far more ground than I expected, and caught more fish than I expected as well ... on a paddleboard!

Years ago, I would have imagined this experience would have cost a boat, gas, and a license. But today, all you need to motor around a body of water (and catch fish) is a Switch Pro.

To date, I can't think of a bad experience I've had with the Switch Pro. And coming from someone who's had plenty of bad experiences on paddleboards before, that's truly saying something.

The Switch Pro comes with every accessory you can think of.

You know those items you buy that don’t come with parts you need to get it going? Pretty frustrating, right?

That’s not the case with the Switch Pro.

Along with instructions, it comes with everything you could possibly need, ranging from a pump that you simply have to plug into a power source, SUP paddles that convert to kayak paddles, a leash, footrest, inflatable chair, and more.

The cherry on top is the bag it comes in, allowing you to fold it up and roll it to your next watery destination, sea or lake.

You can store the Switch Pro easily.

A few years ago, I bought a hard shell paddleboard and loved using it when I was on the water.

But outside the water, it was a brutal experience: not only was its 10’6 frame extremely heavy carrying it to and from the car; storing it was difficult.

Anywhere in the house I put it, it was in the way, and getting it out of the house resulted in a ding here or there.

Then, when my roommates forced me to leave it outside for a few days, the summer sun began to tear it up immediately. There was truly no good place to store it.

I had such a different experiences with the Switch Pro. Because its inflatable and small, it fit in multiple small compartments in the house and garage.

When I wanted to take it out, I blew it up, carried its lightweight body to my car racks, and was in the water in no time. And, when I returned, I deflated it, storing it back into its ergonomic carrying case.

Had I have known the Switch Pro made paddleboarding this enjoyable, I would have gotten one years ago.

The Switch Pro is easily affordable.

It’s $1,095 price point isn’t unreasonable. In fact, not only is it inline with other paddleboards; the Switch Pro, with it's 3-1 capabilities and accessories, offers way more functionality than others priced higher.

The best part?

The Switch Pro is insanely durable, which means that you won't be buying another paddleboard anytime soon.

With a 5 year warranty, you can guarantee that every penny you spend towards the Switch Pro will pay back in incredible time in or on the water.
